Welcome to the Aussie Outpost School of Church History. You will find below a course directory with links to the various courses available. For ease of access links are also provided to online resources that are the textbooks for these courses. These sites are not all maintained by the Aussie Outpost, so a list of alternative sites for texts is also given.
We acknowledge that these courses are not intellectually brilliant, for this has not been our aim (and frankly I don't believe I am capable of it anyhow). Our goal is to help those that may be just beginning in the Christian walk or those that do not have access to good Reformed resources. In fact, we aim at what we call the 'average Particular or Reformed Baptist.' We welcome any feedback that you might be willing to give that is of a constructive nature.

OUTPOST STUDIES IN CHURCH HISTORY:
Course 1: Introduction to Church History
HISTORY OF THE CHRISTIAN CHURCH - Philip Schaff:This course makes use of Philip Schaff's work, 'History of the Christian Church.' It is a work that is widely available on the Internet and it will also be made available on the Aussie Outpost site as the course develops for the course uses this book as it's textbook.
The 'Introduction to Church History' course will involve a lot of reading, but not much additional research. This is merely a 'whet your appetite' for church history sort of course. Questions asked throughout the course will merely be for arousing further interest and thoughtfulness regarding what has or is being read in the course.
