1567 - MILES COVERDALE:

On this day in 1567, Miles Coverdale died. He was the translator and publisher of the first complete English Bible.

 

1812 - ADONIRAM JUDSON:

On this day in 1812, Adoniram Judson set sail for Calcutta, India. From Calcutta he would travel to Burma.
