On this day in 1533, Henry VIII was excommunicated from the Roman Catholic Church for remarrying after his divorce. This was an important day in the history of the English Reformation.
1656 - QUAKERS IN AMERICA:
The first Quakers arrived in America. They were Ann Austin and Mary Fisher from Barbados. They were arrested and deported to England five weeks later.
