Hi and welcome to the page that's all about me - yeah (lol)! Actually, I thought it would be useful to have a page about me as it allows visitors to gain some idea as to who is behind this site. Hopefully this page and the associated links will achieve something of that purpose. You don't have to like me (or know me for that matter) to enjoy the, and profit from, the resources and opportunities for fellowship at this site :-)

INTRODUCTION:
As the site fairly clearly suggests, I consider myself to be a Particular Baptist, and as such I am committed to the historic Baptist distinctives as expressed in the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith. I previously called myself a Reformed Baptist and I still am should the definition of a Reformed Baptist be a Christian who holds to the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith. However, the reason I call myself a Particular Baptist is that I do not adhere to some of the practices of modern-day Reformed Baptists.
I expect this site will develop to show something of the difference between modern-day Reformed Baptists and my own position over time. I do not however intend to make this site into some sort of a personal assault upon modern-day Reformed Baptists, many of whom I still have the greatest respect for, though I find myself disagreeing with some of their practices. These Christians are still my brethren and I regard them warmly as such.
So what's this page all about? Well, it will be a place for information about me, including photos, etc. It will be updated over time. I'll also put answers to questions about myself that I'm asked from time to time that may be of interest to visitors to this site. You will also find links to my presence all over the World Wide Web. If you manage to work your way through this page, you should get a fair idea as to what I'm about.
Please be patient with me as I slowly build this here site. Enjoy the site and I hope it proves helpful and useful to you. Please consider joining one/all of our mail groups, as well as getting involved with some of the other interactive aspects of the site, many of which can be accessed from the front page.
AUTOBIOGRAPHY:
After many years of contemplating this, starting it, putting it off ... you get the picture I'm sure - I've decided to actually do it. Yes, the autobiography of my life. Given I'm not yet dead (yet - I have managed to come close thanks to a bad car accident on the 22 February 2008), this will be a work in progress until it suddenly stops - with my death. Someone will then have to finish it off, if anyone feels like doing it. Anyhow, it is just beginning to be put together, so visit the work as it progresses.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS:
This area of my page is where you will find answers to various questions I have been asked from time to time, a sort of frequently asked questions area.
Where do I work?
I currently work at Tea Gardens Grange in Tea Gardens. I work as a Gardener in the village there. I began employment there in early September 2007.
I used to work at Hawkins Masonic Village, which is a retirement village with self-care units, several aged care hostels and a high care nursing home. I was employed as the Maintenance Manager until my resignation, which was effective from the 14th September 2007. I worked there for over 19 years, the last 3 as the Maintenance Manager.
So what sort of things am I into?
I'm very much into wilderness and travelling through Australia. I also like taking photos of the places that I go to. To find out more about my interest and travels, visit my Kevin's Wilderness Journeys site at http://kevinswilderness.com/index.html.

What Music Do I Like? This listing started on the 23rd August 2008.
I like a wide variety of music and I'll start to give an idea of that variety by listing it here. I do like modern pop music to a degree, but most of today's music no longer appeals to me. I think the 1980s and early 1990s would be about the time period in which I liked the music of the time. I do like the occasional song these days, but not too many.
A sample of the music I like:
Viva la Vida: Coldplay
When You Say Nothing At All: Ronan Keating
What Software Did I Use to Make This Site?
When I made the first version of the site a couple of years ago I actually hand wrote all the code, which obviously took me quite a while. Since then I discovered 'Namo WebEditor' on a computer magazine and have been using that ever since. It's an extremely fast and useful editor for making web sites. I highly recommend it.
For other areas of the site I use Paint.NET for graphics work, Selteco Bannershop GIF Animator for the banners and a number of other software programmes for various other aspects of the content and site. If you want to know about something - please let me know and if I can help I will.
KEVIN'S LIBRARY:
The page for 'Kevin's Library' is one that is quite different to the Outpost Library. Kevin's Library is a work in perpetual progress and will include (eventually) a complete listing of books in my extensive library. Eventually there will be reviews, comments, etc, included.

EBAY:
I'm quite into Ebay by the way and if you would like to look at my Ebay page you can find it via the link below:
http://cgi3.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewUserPage&userid=itskevin069
Ebay has been something of a gold mine for me. Why do I say that? Well, I have been able to buy some very good old books, which has led to more content being added to Aussie Outpost.
FACEBOOK:
One of the ways I like to keep in touch with family and friends is via Facebook, the social network site. If you want to keep in touch with me via Facebook, then click on the image at right.
I also have several Facebook groups:
